Kazakhstan has stockpiled 2.2 million tons of seeds for the 2026 sowing season.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2.2 million tons of seeds have already been stockpiled for the upcoming 2026 sowing season, representing 96% of the total requirement. These figures indicate the agricultural sector is steadily preparing for spring work.

However, as experts note, the quality of seed storage directly impacts the yield and profitability of the coming season. Even with sufficient reserves, quality losses during storage can reduce the effectiveness of the sowing campaign by tens of percent.

One of the key solutions is modern metal grain silos, which provide stable storage conditions:

  • constant ventilation and humidity control;
  • protection from condensation, rodents, and insects;
  • uniform temperature distribution.

Kazakh farmers place particular emphasis on solutions from the British brand Bentall Rowlands—one of Europe’s leading grain silo manufacturers. Their designs are certified according to international standards and adapted to Kazakhstan’s continental climate, which is subject to temperature fluctuations, strong winds, and seasonal humidity fluctuations.

The use of such storage systems not only preserves seed but also improves on-farm logistics—seeds can be stored, transported, and shipped without loss of quality.

Agricultural experts note: A modern silo is no longer just a storage container, but an element of a comprehensive post-harvest grain processing system. Therefore, modernizing storage infrastructure is becoming a priority for Kazakhstan’s agricultural enterprises.

Reliable storage is the key to a stable harvest. With high-quality seeds and modern silos, Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector will be able to maintain its growth momentum and confidently look forward to the 2026 sowing season.
