In Kostanay region, it is planned to sow 5.27 million hectares under agricultural crops.

More than 4.7 million hectares will be planted with spring crops, of which 4 million hectares will be allocated for cereals and leguminous crops. In addition, the implementation of a program about crops diversification continues.

So, this year the area under oilseeds has been increased by 46 thousand hectares, compared to last year.

According to information from the head of the region, the introduction of a diversification program, namely an increase in the area under oilseeds, made it possible to improve the export potential of the region. In 2013, exports of oilseeds amounted to 39 thousand tons, and in 2018, this figure rose to 151 thousand tons. In addition, the workload of processing enterprises also increased by 13%.

Sowing operations continue in Kazakhstan, with over 5 million hectares of land allocated for sowing, making it one of the largest indicators in the region. Agriculture is an important industry for the economy of the Kostanay region and the entire country. Thanks to the efficient work of agricultural enterprises and the use of modern technologies, a significant amount of agricultural products, including grain crops, is produced in the Kostanay region. Large-scale sowing operations will not only provide its citizens with high-quality and affordable products but also strengthen Kazakhstan’s position in the global grain market.
