Sowing of oilseeds in the East Kazakhstan region is 80% complete

Currently, 382 thousand hectares of the planned 476 hectares have been sown with oilseeds. Most of these lands are occupied by sunflower – more than 369 thousand hectares or more than 84%.

Sowing of safflower is fully complete – 1.8 thousand hectares, which is 0.4 thousand hectares less than the previous year. The sowing of sowing flax (1 thousand hectares) is also finished.

The cultivated areas for rapeseed have grown (this year – 20 thousand hectares, the previous year – 13 thousand hectares) and soybeans (13 thousand hectares vs 9 thousand hectares). Now the sowing of rapeseed has been 40% and soybean 18% completed.

The total area for oilseeds in 2021 increased by 30 thousand hectares.
