Since the beginning of 2018/19 MY grain exports amounted to 891 thousand tons

As of July 18 this year, the volume of grain exports amounted to 891 thousand tons, which exceeds the figures for the same period of last year by 362 thousand tons.

Such information was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Export volumes of individual crops amounted to 278,000 tons of wheat, 269,000 tons of barley and 344,000 tons of corn. In comparison with the figures of the previous year, we observe a decrease in the volume of barley exports by 101 thousand tons and in maize supplies by 345 thousand tons. But at the same time, we see an increase in the volume of wheat supply by 84 thousand tons.

It should be recalled that harvesting of early grain crops is continuing. The crops were harvested from the territory of 4.77 million hectares, which is half of the allocated area. The volume of threshed grain reached a level of 14.72 million tons.

This year, a significant increase in grain exports has been recorded. According to statistics, over 891 thousand tons of grain were exported during the period of 2018-2019. This will have a positive impact on the regional economy and strengthen its position in the global grain market. Various countries around the world are the main consumers of grain, using it for the production of baked goods and animal feed. The growth of grain export volumes indicates that the agricultural industry continues to develop and contribute to the regional economy. In addition to boosting export volumes, proper grain storage plays a pivotal role in maintaining quality and reducing post-harvest losses. Modern silos offer controlled environments for safe storage of bulk grains, protecting against moisture build-up, mold, pests, and temperature fluctuations.
