Kazakhstan discusses sanitary requirements for elevators: laboratory workload and modern solutions

The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced its readiness to discuss issues related to elevator operations on the platform of the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. The discussion concerns revising approaches to sanitary requirements and long laboratory measurements that place an additional burden on industry enterprises.

Representatives of the grain sector note that current quality control and sanitary zone procedures often require significant time and resources, especially during high grain intake volumes. This reduces elevator efficiency and increases pressure on laboratory facilities.

Industry challenge

The main difficulties include:

  • long laboratory testing times
  • high workload on staff
  • need for rapid decision-making during grain intake
  • requirement to maintain accuracy with large sample volumes

In intensive grain logistics, this becomes a key efficiency factor.

Solution: rapid grain analysis

One of the modern tools helping to reduce laboratory workload is the NIR grain analyzer Granolyser / Granolyser HL.

The device is designed for rapid analysis of cereals, pulses, and oilseeds in whole grain form — without sample preparation or grinding. This significantly speeds up quality control processes at elevators and processing facilities.

Key advantages:
  • results in 20–40 seconds
  • measurement of moisture, protein, gluten, oil content, and more
  • whole-grain analysis without preparation
  • high accuracy and reproducibility
  • ability to analyze samples with up to 40% moisture
  • integration with USB, local databases, and 1C systems

Conclusion

In the context of stricter sanitary requirements and increasing pressure on elevators, the industry requires faster laboratory workflows. The use of Granolyser-class solutions significantly reduces analysis time, increases laboratory throughput, and ensures consistent grain quality control without loss of accuracy.
