Grain exports from Kazakhstan amounted to 6.000.000 t
Exports of grain from Kazakhstan during the first 9 months of this year amounted to 6.000.000 t.
This figure exceeds the figure for the past year by 64%.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Agriculture estimates the volume of export supplies at the level of 9.000.000 t.
Also, transportation of grain crops in the country increased by 3%.
In addition, during the mentioned period, exports of milling products also increased. During the 9 months of this year, more than 2.000.000 t were transported by rail. Of this amount, 1.700.000 t were exported.
The geography of export supplies remained unchanged. It is Central Asia, Iran, China, Russia and Afghanistan.
Despite increased export volumes, the problem of railway cars shortage remains unresolved. As a solution to this problem, cooperation with foreign forwarders is planned.
In 2018, Kazakhstan’s grain exports reached a record of 6 million tons, due to favorable conditions for growing grain in the country and increasing demand for grain on the global market. China, Iran, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Russia are the main consumers of Kazakh grain. The growth in grain exports from Kazakhstan is having an impact on the global market and helps to satisfy the needs of importing countries for grain.
