Flour exports from Ukraine dropped to 0.25 million tons
As of May 15, the volume of foreign supplies of flour reached 0.25 million tons, which is 35% lower than the last marketing season. Thus, during the same period last year, 0.39 million tons were exported.
This information was obtained from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
During the reporting period, 254.7 thousand tons of wheat flour were supplied to foreign markets, whereas for the same period last year, this figure was slightly more than 391 thousand tons.
In addition, as of the specified date, supplies of flour from other grains reached slightly more than 1 thousand tons, whereas last year this figure was 500 tons more.
It should be added that according to some experts, the milling business is 30-50% in the shade.
The decrease in flour export volume in Ukraine can be attributed to several factors, including a reduction in production at milling enterprises and an increase in domestic consumption. Nevertheless, Ukraine remains a major producer of flour and a supplier to the global market. Many companies in the country prioritize high-quality products, enabling them to maintain their position in the world flour market.
