Farmers reduced the harvest of grains and legumes by almost 16%
As of the beginning of October 2025, Ukrainian farmers harvested 31.5 million tons of grains and legumes, which is almost 16% less than last year. 7.2 million hectares were threshed, which is about 65% of the sown area.
The largest harvest was harvested in Odessa (3.7 million tons), Vinnytsia (2.4 million tons), Kirovohrad (2.2 million tons) and Khmelnytskyi (2.1 million tons) regions.
Of the crops, the harvest of wheat, barley, peas and rapeseed was completely completed. 22.5 million tons of wheat, 5.3 million tons of barley, 626 thousand tons of peas and over 3.3 million tons of rapeseed were harvested. Only about 2 million tons of corn were threshed.
Farmers also harvested 5.5 million tons of sunflower, 2.2 million tons of soybeans and over 2.4 million tons of sugar beets.
Grain storage silos: technologies and solutions
In the modern agricultural sector, an important element of grain circulation is not only harvesting, but also safe storage. One of the leading solutions on the market is Bentall Rowlands silos, offered by 3S Company in Ukraine.
What does Bentall Rowlands offer?
- Design options: flat or conical bottom silos, rectangular bunkers, grain conditioning modules.
- Material: high-quality galvanized steel (Z600 class) – for corrosion resistance and durability.
- Dimensions and volumes:
- Flat bottom – up to 17,483 m³
- Conical bottom – up to 2,165 m³
- Silos with walls from 3,000 to 7,000 mm, height up to 15,000 mm
A properly selected and equipped silo stores grain longer with minimal losses. For farmers who lose volumes due to low yields, awareness of such solutions is key.
