During the period from July to October, Ukraine supplied 829.000 tons of wheat to the Middle East countries
For the period from July to October of the 2017/18 marketing year, Ukraine delivered to the Middle East slightly more than 829.000 tons of wheat. This figure is more than last year’s one by 46%. During the same period of the past marketing year, 570.000 tons of wheat were supplied to the Middle East.

The report also says that the Middle East is a leader among all the importers of all cereal crops. The export rate to these countries is 23% of the total volume of grain exports or 3.2 million tons.
In the last marketing year, the situation was different. The main buyer of cereal crops was North Africa. The share of exports to these countries was 24%, while the share of exports to the Middle East was 22%, which placed the region in second place in the rating of importers of Ukrainian grain.
In this marketing year, the countries of North Africa dropped to the third place in the rating of grain importers from Ukraine. The share of exports to these countries decreased by 7% compared to the previous year and is 15%.
