Investments in agriculture in the North-Kazakhstan region increased by 15%

During the first half of 2018, more than 32 billion tenge was invested in the development of agriculture in this region, which is slightly more than 43% of the total investment in various sectors of the region.

In comparison with the same period last year, the volume of investments has increased by almost 15.5%.

Mostly, these investments came from enterprises’ own funds (approximately 82%), a small share was taken by bank loans (their share was 5.2%), and loans from other sources (about 14%) were received.

The most attractive sector for investment is crop production. Over 70% of the total investment was invested in this sector. The second place by the volume of investments is occupied by livestock farming (more than 16%).

Investments in agriculture in the North Kazakhstan region have increased by 15% this year, indicating a growing interest in the development of this industry. The majority of investments were directed towards modernizing production processes and improving product quality. Infrastructure and working conditions for agricultural producers were also improved. The development of agriculture can help solve many socio-economic problems in the region, such as unemployment and low income levels. Additionally, increasing agricultural production can have a positive impact on exports and food security for the country as a whole. However, experts note that further development of agriculture requires constant investment and modern technology.
