As of July 9 in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan, the harvest campaign for grain crops began.

According to the data from the local akimat, the area allocated for the sowing of grain crops increased by 5% this year, compared to the previous year and amounted to approximately 260 thousand hectares. Under the barley was allocated 150 thousand hectares, and for winter wheat – 100 thousand hectares. The planned yield is 23-25 centners per hectare. However, some farms have already harvested a crop of 30-40 centners per hectare. The total planned volume of the collection is 750 thousand tons, which exceeds the indicator of the previous year by 30 thousand tons.

In general, for the region over the last 10 years, the area allocated for sowing has increased by 100 thousand hectares.

The harvesting season has begun for major grain crops such as wheat and barley in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. The region is expected to have a high yield due to favorable weather conditions and the use of modern agricultural technologies. Harvesting is carried out at full capacity, and soon the collection of other crops such as corn and sorghum will begin. After harvesting, the crops will be processed and sold in local and global markets. The yield rate in this region of Kazakhstan is of great importance to the country’s economy, as grain is one of its major export commodities.
