In southern Kazakhstan grain stocks increased by 600,000 tons
In southern Kazakhstan, the collection of grain crops has been completed. In the current year, thanks to the application of the newest methods of production of cereals, the quantity of the crop has increased. Namely, from 258 thousand hectares 589 thousand tons of grain products were harvested.
In the South-Kazakhstan region, the agrarians managed to replenish their reserves by 400,000 tons. This includes 345,000 tons of wheat and 52,000 tons of barley. The corn yield was 47.6 centners per hectare, and the total crop harvested is 178,000 tons.
In general, in southern region farmers managed to achieve a yield level of 18.4 centners per hectare, despite not very favorable weather conditions. While farmers in the Maktaral region achieved a yield level of 30 centners per hectare.
It is important to note that since the beginning of this year the state has allocated considerable funds for the development of the agricultural sector as a whole and in particular, for the purchase of various kinds of fertilizers and for the purchase of seeds. More than ten thousand farms received the state subsidy.
In Southern Kazakhstan, there is an increase in grain stocks by 600,000 tons, which is associated with the yield of grain crops in this region. Agriculture in South Kazakhstan has a high potential for grain production and the region continues to be one of the leaders in grain production in Kazakhstan.
An increase in grain reserves may lead to an increase in grain exports from Kazakhstan, which will have a positive effect on the country’s economy.
