In the current marketing year, the export volumes of grain crops dropped by 10% against the figures of the previous year and amounted to 39.400.000 t. Last year, 43.800.000 t of grain were shipped for export.

Such information was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

During the reporting period, 17.740.000 t of corn and 17.140.000 t of wheat were exported. The barley exports reached 4.290.000 t, while rye exports amounted to 36.800 t.

It should be recalled that the forecast for grain exports was 40 million tons.

Over the past month, grain exports from Ukraine have decreased by 10%. This is due to low prices for grain on the global market and increased competition from other exporting countries. Additionally, some countries are imposing restrictions on the import of grain from Ukraine due to specific cases of production technology violations. In this situation, it is important to develop the domestic grain market and seek new markets to compensate for the decrease in exports. One such market could be the production of grain products within the country, which would also increase the added value and economic effect of production. It is also important to continue to improve production technologies and increase the quality of the products to make them competitive on the global market.
