Within six months of the current marketing year as of January 1, 21.36 million tons of grain were exported. The exports structure is as follows. The biggest amount of grain that was exported was wheat – 11.2 million tons (export of food wheat was 6.2 million tons, and forage wheat exports amounted to 5 million tons). The next one was corn. The export figures were 3.7 million tons.

In comparison with the same period of 2016/17 marketing year, 23.8 million tons of grain were delivered to foreign markets. The structure of exports was the same. The biggest amount of crop that Ukraine managed to export was wheat. Export figures were 12 million tons (export of food wheat reached 7 million tons, and forage – 5 million tons). The next one was also corn (the export figure was 7.3 million tons), and the third place was barley (the export figure was 4.3 million tons).

Also, in 2017/18 marketing year, 3.3 million tons of oilseeds were delivered to foreign markets, which exceeds the same indicator for the previous year by 1 million tons.

Within six months of the current marketing year, the volume of grain exports from Kazakhstan exceeded 21.3 million tons. This is a significant indicator and testifies to the high potential and competitiveness of the Kazakh grain market.
