According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, as of October 2 in Kazakhstan, crops were harvested from 87.3% of the territory. The average yield amounted to 1.34 t/ha, and the amount of harvested grain exceeded 17.600.000 t.

It should be recalled that a total of 15.000.000 ha were allotted for grain crops this year.

The leader in the harvesting campaign is the Kostanay region (harvesting completed by almost 93%), followed by the North Kazakhstan region (harvesting completed by 87%) and the last in the top three is Akmola region (harvesting completed by 86%).

It should also be added that last year, 98.9% of the crops were harvested and the amount of harvested grain reached 21.17 million tons.

In 2018, Kazakhstan achieved a record grain harvest of 17.6 million tons, thanks to the efficient work of agricultural enterprises and state support for the development of the agricultural sector. The record grain harvest in Kazakhstan has a positive impact on the country’s economy, creating favorable conditions for increasing grain exports and improving performance in the agricultural sector. Kazakhstan continues to invest in the development of grain farming to strengthen its position in the world grain market.
