As of May 20, spring crops were planted on nearly 4.3 million hectares, which is almost 30% of the planned territory. This figure exceeds the results of last year by 10.6%. It should be added that a total of 14.2 million hectares were allocated for these crops.

It should be clarified that the sowing of grain crops continues in all major grain regions of the country. Namely, 0.99 million hectares were sown in Akmola region, which is 23% of the planned territory. 1.18 million hectares were sown in Kostanay region, which is 30% of the planned area, and 0.63 million hectares were sown in the North Kazakhstan region, which is 23%.

Corn is planted on a territory of 93.4 thousand hectares, which is more than 61% of the planned territory.

In addition, the sowing of oilseeds was completed by 53%.

This year, Kazakhstan’s grain crops are occupying the main area of ​​sown fields. After the end of the sowing campaign, an increase in the volume of grain and other crops is expected, which can have a positive impact on the country’s economy. Expanding the agricultural sector is one of the priority tasks in Kazakhstan’s development strategy.
