In Kazakhstan, the leader in implementing the principles of diversification is the North Kazakhstan region
The authorities of the region provided information that the region continues to introduce the principles of diversification in the selection of crops for sowing.
The most successful and widely these principles are being introduced by agrarians of the North Kazakhstan region. They continue to introduce more profitable crops (legumes and oilseeds) instead of wheat.
This year, in the specified region, 976.1 thousand hectares were allocated for oilseeds, which is 37% more than the area under oilseeds of Kostanay and Akmola regions. In these two areas, nearly 430 and 280 thousand hectares were allocated for oilseeds, respectively.
It should also be recalled that the harvest of oilseeds in the North Kazakhstan region was 0.93 million tons. The average yield reached 1 ton per hectare.
