Railway grain transportation in Russia fell by 8% in 2021

As of the 1st of December 2021, the volume of railway grain transportation by Russian Railways declined by more than 8% compared to the same period in 2020 (up to 23 million tons).

A month earlier, the decline amounted to 5%.

Transportation volumes of mineral fertilizers and chemical fertilizers went up by more than 3% (to 60 million tons) during the given period.

Comparing Russian Railways’ loading volumes for the first 11 months of 2020 and 2021, this year they went up by 3% and amounted to 1.2 billion tons.
