In January 2017, the volume of grain transportation by rail increased by 55% compared to the figures of January last year. The increase in exports was 96%.

Such information was provided by the press service of the Kazakhstan railway.

Also, the report says that the indicators of flour shipment in January this year increased by 77%, compared to the January figures of 2017. Export of flour increased by 85%.

In addition, in January more than a thousand grain hoppers were used. The number of grain hoppers owned by Kazakhstan railway reached a level of 10.800 units. Also, the number of trains passing between the states has been increased from 18 to 28 trains per day, and in addition, the time for which trains stay in Central Asia has also been reduced.

It should be recalled that this year Kazakhstan plans to increase the export of grain to 9 million tons.
