Ukraine exported over 600 thousand tons of wheat in April
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, as of April 28, 2025, since the beginning of the 2024/25 marketing year, the country exported 34.871 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. Of these, 2.047 million tons were shipped in April. The information was published with reference to operational data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
For comparison, on the same date last year, the export volume amounted to 40.711 million tons.
Exports by crop since the beginning of the season are:
- wheat – 13.751 million tons (of which 628 thousand tons in April);
- barley – 2.26 million tons (43 thousand tons);
- rye – 10.8 thousand tons (0 tons);
- corn – 18.343 million tons (1.366 million tons).
In addition, during this period, Ukraine exported 58.2 thousand tons of flour, of which 54 thousand tons were wheat. In April, the shipment of flour amounted to 4.7 thousand tons, including 4.4 thousand tons of wheat.

The importance of grain sampling for export
To ensure high quality of exported grain products, correct grain sampling plays a key role. This process is critically important for confirming the compliance of products with international standards and requirements of importing countries. Sampling allows you to control the quality of products. Namely, it allows you to determine the content of moisture, protein, gluten, impurities and other indicators that affect the quality of grain. Automated grain sampling systems and modern laboratory analysis methods significantly increase the efficiency of this process. In the context of growing exports, in particular wheat, the implementation of such technologies becomes a necessity to maintain the competitiveness of the Ukrainian agricultural sector and ensure stable access to international markets.
