Ukraine is increasing oilseed production
In 2025, Ukraine is expected to have the largest oilseed harvest in a decade. The increase in the area under sunflower, rapeseed and soybeans together under favorable weather conditions will allow us to count on a high level of production. According to the forecast, the production of the main oilseeds in Ukraine may reach the highest levels in the last decade.
In particular, analysts predict a significant increase in the harvest of sunflower and soybeans, which will create new opportunities for exporters and the domestic processing industry. However, in order to preserve the quality of the crop and get maximum profit, it is important to properly prepare the seeds for storage.
Drying sunflower seeds is extremely important
Sunflower seeds contain a high percentage of moisture, so without proper drying they quickly deteriorate, become moldy and lose their quality characteristics.
The main advantages of high-quality drying:
- Quality preservation: there is no development of fungal diseases and seed spoilage.
- Improvement of oil yield: properly and evenly dried seeds give a higher oil yield during processing.
- Safe storage: elimination of risks of spontaneous combustion and condensation in storage facilities.
