Transportation of grain in Kazakhstan
The Kazakhstani railway provided a report on the transportation of goods for the first month of 2018. So, during this period, more than 1 million tons of grain were transported, which is 65% more than in January of the previous year, and exceeds the plan by 8%. Also, 400 thousand tons of flour were transported, which is 50% higher than in January of the previous year and which exceeds the plan by 38%.

The largest number of goods that were transported by the railway during the reporting period were goods for export. During this time, exports to China increased (an increase was 32%) and Uzbekistan (an increase was 81%). Also, the amount of goods transportation with Turkmenistan have tripled. Transportation of imported goods grew by 13% compared to the same indicator of 2017. Thus, imports increased from such countries as Russia (an increase was 5%), China (an increase was 62%) and Uzbekistan (an increase was 53%).
