The volume of shipped wheat is 3.6 million tons more than in the previous year.

During the abovementioned period, 11.240.000 tons of wheat (-740.000 t) were shipped to foreign markets. Corn supplies reached 11.430.000 tons, which is 4.450.000 t more than last year. Barley supplies reached the level of 3.270.000 t, and rye was shipped abroad in the volume of 81.500 t.

It should be recalled that in 2018, 41.700.000 t of grain were shipped from Ukraine abroad, which is less than half a percent less than it was shipped during the previous year.

In the beginning of 2018-2019, Ukraine exported over 26.5 million tons of grain to external markets. This result indicates the growth in grain production volumes in Ukraine and the strengthening of the country’s position in the global agricultural commodities market. The increase in grain export volumes may contribute to the improvement of the economic situation in Ukraine and the creation of new jobs. However, possible risks such as changes in demand for grain in the global market and changes in weather conditions that may affect crop yields need to be considered. Nevertheless, Ukraine continues to increase its grain export volumes and develop its economy in this field.
