Rostov region is the leader in grain harvest in Russia

As of the current date, the harvesting campaign of early grain and leguminous crops in the Rostov region has been completed. Total amount of harvested crops reached 11.68 million tons, which is the best result this year in Russia.

The average grain yield in 2020 is higher by 1 centner per hectare than in 2019 and amounted to 35 centners per hectare. The area under the crop amounted to 3.3 million hectares, and almost all the harvest is classified as a high-quality food grain.
