Corn Market: Will Ukraine be able to maintain and expand export directions
For the 2025/26 season, forecasts for Ukrainian corn exports look ambiguous. Some traditional importers are ready to increase purchases, while others, on the contrary, are ready to reduce them.
Grain market and logistics analyst at UkrAgroConsult Maksym Kharchenko notes that the greatest uncertainty concerns Turkey. Last year, this country provided up to 25% of all Ukrainian corn exports, but in the 2025/26 season its need for imports may decrease. According to USDA estimates, Turkey will need about 3.3 million tons, which is 2.4 million tons less than last year.
Also, domestic corn production in Turkey is growing, and competition from other producers is becoming more tangible: they offer grain on attractive CIF Marmara terms, which may deprive Ukraine of market share.
Application of AKRON grain dryers of the Svegma series
In order for Ukraine to be able not only to store, but also to increase the volume of corn exports, it is important to ensure high-quality storage of the crop. Grain dryers play a key role here – they allow you to achieve the required grain moisture, reduce losses during storage and guarantee export quality.
One of such modern solutions is the current AKRON mine grain dryers of the Svegma series, which are offered by 3S Company.
Using such dryers, producers will be able to:
- reduce losses from grain spoilage;
- increase the quality of drying, which is important for international buyers with strict standards;
- reduce dependence on third-party elevators and carriers in logistics hubs;
- reduce energy and maintenance costs thanks to modern technologies and heat recovery.
Investing in modern equipment like AKRON Svegma can be one of the key components for preserving and expanding Ukrainian corn export destinations.
