
Forecasts on export of flour from Ukraine
In the current year, forecasts for the supply of flour to foreign markets are 450.000 tons. This figure is 2% lower than the one, which was announced a month earlier, but still almost 12% higher than the figures of the previous MY.
Such information was provided by APK-Inform.
The main reason for the lowering the forecasts is the decrease in production volumes. So, during the first half of the current MY, 1.04 million tons of flour were produced, while last year’s figure was 1.12 million tons. We observe a decrease in production volumes by 7.2%.
However, the export potential of this type of products has grown during the first half of the current MY. Now the increase, in comparison with the last year, is 22%.
It should be recalled that 83 thousand tons of flour were delivered to China during this period, which is 2.5% more than China imported over the past year.
Forecasts for the export of flour from Ukraine show significant growth potential and development prospects.
