Inline grain sampler

International group “3S Company” is an official representative of the company O.K. SERVIS BioPro (Czech Republic).

Inline grain sampler is for cereals, legumes and oilseeds, as well as for feed mixtures, seeds and other bulk materials.

Grain Inline Sampler

An inline sampler is a sensible solution that will make it possible to carry out regular and accurate sampling. This sampler is suitable not only for cereals, legumes and oilseeds, but also for various grinding products and, as a rule, almost for all bulk products.

It is important to ensure a sampling of a good quality, as this will allow to obtain a representative sample that will give clear characteristics of the whole volume from which the sample is taken.

The sampler is designed to be placed in a transport system or on a production line.

Sampler in the stream

A wide range of frequency settings and shutter speeds will allow getting a highly representative sample. The sampling interval can be adjusted in the range from one sample every 5 seconds to one sampler per hour.

The sampler can be controlled remotely from any place, for example, from the operator’s room.

The product that it to be sampled must, when hitting the transport system, pass through it by gravity, at least 1 m down (or more), with a maximum possible angle of 25° from the vertical axis.

Grain Sampler in Stream

Advantages:

  • Representative sample
  • Ability to set the frequency of sampling
  • Ability to choose the speed of the flap
  • Automatic sampling
  • Reliable device
  • Sampling of practically all bulk products
  • Remote control
  • Dustproof design

Exploitation:

Before starting sampling, you must turn on the main switch on the switchboard.

Then set the sampling interval (sampling frequency) and the flap speed to adjust the volume of sample.

The settings are made on the basis of experience, but the basic principle is the following: the smaller the interval between sample is, the greater the total amount of sample, and the greater the interval between sampling is, the smaller the total sample amount and the sample will be less representative.

The total amount of the sample is also affected by the speed of the sampling flap. The lower the speed, the greater the amount of sample per cycle.

Efficient in-line grain sampler from Com3s

Operating:

Sampling is carried out through the hatch with an opening flap, which moves from one extreme position to another.

When the flap moves, the sample is taken, and when the flap reached the extreme position, the hatch is outside the transport system section and the grain movement is blocked.

Due to this, the sample is taken from the entire grain flow, and not from the edge or from centre and so it is representative.

Design:

The body of the sampler is made of welded steel sheet. At the top and bottom there are welded steel flanges for connection to the pipeline of the transport system.

The flange size corresponds to the standard pipe dimension of 200 mm, which is used in the construction of transport systems. The flap is mounted on a tubular lever through which the sample also passes.

On the outside, the bearing is closed by a flange, which is connected to the lever of the drive slot.

The drive is provided by a geared motor. On the output shaft of the engine, there is a chain gear, and opposite it, on the other side, there is a wheel with a bearing on the pin. Wheels are girdled by a chain with a built-in carrier. Plug in free wheel is mounted in a groove, which allows chain tension. Thus, the movement of the chain is transmitted through a lever on the flap arm, which moves from side to side. The flap is usually located on either side of the sampler body, which means that it is located outside the flow of the falling product. The end position of the flap is determined by sensors. With the signal of the sensors, the geared motor and the flap movement are controlled.

Performance:

The amount of sample taken depends on the width of the flap and the speed of the hatch (drive).

The standard width of the flap is 80 mm, other sizes are available on request. The flap is easy to replace on site.

Technical specifications:

Body: coated steel
Other metal parts: galvanized
Power supply: 3 phases 380 V, 50 Hz or 3 phases 220 V, 50 Hz
Scope of delivery: motor with gearbox, position switches, control panel, protection, relay and timer.

Installation conditions:

The sampler should be installed in vertical pipes. The maximum possible deviation from the vertical axis is 25о.

The flange can be connected to pipes, the width of which varies from 180 to 300 mm. Flanges are predrilled and include bolts.

Note

The sampler is manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 6644 (automatic sampling in a flow) and complies with the specification in accordance with Appendix A.1. Vertical samplers.
