Export of corn to foreign markets from Ukraine
During the first two months of this year, corn exports totaled 4.11 million tons. The cost of exports amounted to 626 million dollars.
Such information was provided by the State Fiscal Service.
The biggest amount of corn was purchased by such countries as Egypt, the Netherlands and Italy. The amount of corn exported to these countries was 854.000, 566.000 and 503.000 tons. The cost of export supplies amounted to 130, 86 and 76 million dollars, respectively.
It should also be recalled that during the previous year, corn export amounted to 19.39 million tons and the cost of these supplies reached 2.99 billion dollars.
Ukraine is one of the largest exporters of corn in the world, and exports to foreign markets are an important source of income for the country. In recent years, the volume of corn exports from Ukraine continues to grow, and today Ukraine holds a leading position in the global corn market. However, some experts express concerns about possible problems with supplies due to worsening climatic conditions and decreasing planting areas. Despite this, forecasts for corn exports from Ukraine to foreign markets remain optimistic overall due to the high level of productivity of agricultural land and the increasing efficiency of storage and processing processes.
