According to estimates obtained from the Ukrgidrometeocenter, on 56% of the areas under winter crops, the state of the crops is assessed as good or excellent. While on 35% of the areas, the crops are in satisfactory condition.

This data was received from APK-Inform.

Also, according to the information received, a condition of 9% of crops is poor, which means that the plants are not matured to the stage that would allow them to overwinter. The largest amount of immature plats is in the Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Odessa regions.

The entry of crops into the wintering stage was successful in most regions. Weather conditions contribute to the normal condition of plants.

It should be recalled that now all the sowings of winter crops are in a condition of winter dormancy.

Winter crops are one of the main agricultural crops in Ukraine. By the end of 2018, over 7 million hectares of winter crops were planted in the country, including wheat, barley, rye, and rapeseed.

Growing winter crops is of great importance for the economy of Ukraine, as they are the basis for the production of bread and other food products. In addition, Ukrainian farmers export significant volumes of winter crops, which contributes to the country’s income growth.

However, for the further development of agriculture in Ukraine, it is necessary to improve logistics infrastructure and implement new technologies. It is also important to ensure access to quality seeds and fertilizers, so that Ukrainian farmers can increase the productivity and quality of their crops.
