The sowing campaign in East Kazakhstan is executed by 77%
Due to favourable weather conditions in the east of Kazakhstan, sowing in this area is almost finished. As of June 6, in the specified area the sowing of grain crops was performed by 77%, which is equal to 450.000 hectares.
At the same time the rates of sowing of oilseeds have already approached to 100%. As of the specified date, 391 thousand hectares were planted, which is 95% of the planned areas. Last year 93% of the area was sown as of the same date, but the difference in the figures is insignificant.
It should also be recalled that in the current year 590.000 hectares were allocated for the spring crops, while last year this figure was around 567.000 hectares in the East Kazakhstan region.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the spring sowing campaign in East Kazakhstan has been completed at 77%. Despite a slight decrease in the pace compared to last year, this indicator suggests that the campaign is progressing at a good pace and has been completed on time. One of the main reasons for the decrease in the pace is the weather conditions and the lack of machinery in some areas. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working to provide financial support to farmers and agricultural enterprises to purchase the necessary equipment. Overall, the completion of the spring sowing campaign at 77% indicates that agriculture in East Kazakhstan is developing and successfully coping with the tasks set before it.
