The export figures of cereals from Ukraine in the current marketing year will be 40 million tons

During this marketing year, it is planned to export 40 million tons of grain crops, which is 9% less than the same indicator of the previous marketing year.

Such information was provided by the FAO.

The report says that one of the main reasons for the reduction in export supplies is the increased competition with Russia, since there the 2017 was marked by a record harvest.

In addition, some countries, such as Egypt for example, have introduced new requirements for protein in wheat. If earlier this indicator was at the level of 11.5%, than now the required amount of protein is 12.5%. This change is positive for Russia, as the protein content in Russian wheat is higher than in Ukrainian wheat. Therefore, the export potential of Ukraine for wheat is now at the level of 16.5 million tons, which is 6% less than the indicator of the previous marketing year.

Also, due to a decrease in the harvest, barley export will drop by 12% to 4.7 million tons.

The report also says about a decline in the level of corn export to 19 million tons, which is 9% less than in the previous marketing year. Also, we should expect the smallest corn stocks in this marketing year, since the export is still high, and the harvest this year is less.

It should be recalled than corn production in the world in the current marketing year will reach a level of 1.05 billion tons, which is 14 million tons higher than the forecast for November.

Ukraine is one of the world’s leading exporters of grain crops, and the current marketing year is no exception. According to the latest data, grain exports have reached an impressive 40 million tons.

This increase in exports is the result of the efforts of Ukrainian agricultural producers, who are actively developing their production base and improving the quality of their products. Ukrainian grain is known for its high quality and competitive prices on the world market.

It should also be noted that Ukrainian grain crops are in high demand at the international level. Our country successfully exports grain to various countries, meeting the needs of the world market.

Forecasts for the current marketing year are also encouraging. Analysts predict continued growth in grain exports from Ukraine and predict further prospects for the Ukrainian agricultural industry.

Ukrainian agricultural producers continue to improve their production methods, introduce new technologies and maintain high quality standards. This allows them to successfully compete on the world stage and maintain their positions in the export of grain crops.
