Rapeseed occupies about 17% of the area, while soybean occupies less than 1%.

The development of oilseed production in Kazakhstan has prospects, as these crops are an important source of food and technical oils. In addition, growing oilseed crops can become a tool for diversifying agriculture in Kazakhstan and increasing the country’s export potential. However, successful development of oilseed production requires investments in modern technologies and the improvement of the qualifications of agricultural workers.
