Precipitation has had a beneficial effect on the ripening of grain in Kazakhstan
Precipitation, which fell in the middle of July, had a beneficial effect on the ripening of grain in the western regions of Kazakhstan. While severe downpours in the northern parts of the country negatively affected the flowering and pollination of plants.

In the main grain regions of Kazakhstan (Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions), the condition of spring wheat is estimated as excellent and good, while the condition of spring barley is assessed as good and satisfactory. The crops are in the stage of stalking-flowering, and the height of the crops reaches from 21 to 85 cm, depending on the region.
Despite the drought in Kazakhstan at the beginning of the summer, the recent precipitation has had a positive impact on grain ripening. This could mean that this year’s grain harvest may be higher than expected. Furthermore, the harvest could be of better quality, leading to an increase in demand for Kazakh grain on the world market. However, experts emphasize the need to take measures to preserve the quality of the harvest, as improper storage and processing can lead to a loss of quality and income for farmers. Additionally, favorable weather conditions can lead to increased production of other agricultural products and improve the economic situation in the country.
