Turnover of agricultural products with the European Union reached a level of 2.2 billion dollars
During the first three month of this year, the turnover of agricultural products between Ukraine and the EU reached a level of 2.2 billion dollars.
Such information was provided by the STC «Institute of the agrarian economy».
It should also be emphasized that in the trade turnover with the EU there is a positive balance, which reached 845 million dollars.
It is also reported that for the first three months, the import increased to 699 million dollars, which is 27%, while exports increased to 1.513 billion dollars. The increase in exports was 15%. These figures are given in comparison with the first three months of the past year.
Products that Ukraine exports to Europe are grains and oilseeds, and also sunflower oil and oil cake.
The structure of imports from the EU countries is as follows: a variety of food products, alcohol, oilseeds, etc.
The turnover of agricultural products between Ukraine and the European Union continues to grow, reaching $2.2 billion. The leading role in this turnover is played by the export of Ukrainian grain products, such as wheat, barley, corn, and rapeseed, as well as sugar beets. However, with each passing year, there is a growing interest in other types of products, such as vegetables, fruits, milk, and meat. Expanding the range of Ukrainian products, as well as improving their quality and compliance with international standards, will help increase the country’s export potential and strengthen economic relations between Ukraine and the European Union. It is important to continue working on strengthening partnerships and creating conditions for the development of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
