Exports of rapeseed oil from Ukraine increased more than twofold
Since the beginning of the current marketing season, Ukraine has supplied 146.7 thousand tons of rapeseed oil to foreign markets, which is 2.4 times higher than last year. During the last marketing season, nearly 61 thousand tons were exported from Ukraine. However, the figure of this year did not break the record of 15/16 MY, when 150.8 thousand tons of rapeseed oil were supplied abroad.

The main importing countries of the abovementioned product are the EU countries, with an import share of 53% and China with an import share of 47%.
It should be recalled that in February of this year, the volume of soybean exports fell by a third compared to the January figures, and also this figure was almost 40% lower than in February 2018.
Ukraine is one of the largest producers of rapeseed oil in the world, and in 2021, the country demonstrated impressive growth in the export of this product. The volume of rapeseed oil exports increased by 2.4 times, indicating a significant increase in demand for Ukrainian rapeseed oil on the global market. This result became possible due to the development of technology and the effective work of the industry. The main buyers of Ukrainian rapeseed oil are European and Asian countries. Export of rapeseed oil is an important factor in the economic development of Ukraine and contributes to strengthening its position in the global market.
