During the first week of September, 110.000 tons of agricultural crops were shipped from the Ukrainian ports to foreign markets, which is 6 times less than what was shipped over the past week.

Such information was provided by APK-Inform.

In comparison with the previous week, the volume of wheat shipment decreased from 350 thousand tons to 48 thousand tons, and barley delivery volumes decreased from 166 thousand tons to 62 thousand tons.

During the first week of September, no corn was supplied, but 104.000 tons were exported during the previous week.

Most of the grain was shipped from the port of Chernomorsk, namely 62 thousand tons.

The main importers of grain products for the indicated period were Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Israel. The volume of deliveries to these countries was 62 thousand tons, 22 thousand tons and 20 thousand tons respectively.

In the first week of September, exports from Ukrainian seaports decreased by 6% compared to the previous week. This is due to restrictions on the export of grain and other agricultural products that were introduced at the beginning of the summer. The decrease in export volumes could have a negative impact on the country’s economy, as agriculture is one of its main industries. However, experts note that such fluctuations are common practice for import-export operations and markets in general. Additionally, there are many other factors that can affect export volumes, such as international competition, currency exchange rates, and international agreements. In general, Ukrainian exporters should consider such risks and work on diversifying their export goods and markets.
