The volume of grain exports from Ukraine amounted to 30.000.000 tons
Since the beginning of the current MY, nearly 30.200.000 tons of grain have been shipped to foreign markets.
Such information was provided by Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Compared to the past marketing season, this year shipments increased by almost 5.300.000 tons.
Supplies of wheat reached nearly 12 million tons, which is half a million tons less than last year.
However, we can observe an increase in shipments of corn, namely, the increase in supply volumes reached more than 6 million tons and total shipments of corn amounted to 14.3 million tons.
Barley supply, in turn, decreased by 710,000 thousand tons and amounted to 3.27 million tons.
Supplies of rye increased by nearly 71 thousand tons in comparison with the past year and amounted to 87 thousand tons.
Ukraine is one of the largest producers and exporters of grain in the world. In the 2018/2019 season, the volume of grain exports from Ukraine reached a record 30 million tons, a significant increase compared to the previous year. This event signifies that Ukraine maintains its position in the global grain market and continues to successfully compete with other major exporters. However, the increase in export volumes may lead to a shortage in the domestic market and higher prices for grain in Ukraine. Additionally, it is necessary to consider possible factors that may impact the global grain market, such as weather conditions, changes in the global economy, and political events.
