In the north of Kazakhstan, plowing has not yet begun
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, namely torrential rains, it is impossible to start field work in the north of Kazakhstan.
In the main three grain regions, Akmola, Kostanay and North-Kazakhstan regions, plowing has not started yet. Heavy rains do not contribute to active seeding.
However, according to the data received from the Ministry of Agriculture, at the beginning of May, the moisture closure was conduct on the 52.3% of the territory, also 24.8% of the territory was pre-planted, and spring plowing ended on just slightly over than 70% of the territory.
It should be recalled that is was managed to complete the sowing works in such regions as South Kazakhstan and Zhambyl.
Oilseeds will be sown in all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The total area allocated for this culture will be 2.520 million hectares. At the beginning of May, 11.5% of the total area was sown. Sowing began in six regions.
In should be recalled that the total amount of areas allocated for planting crops this year will amount to more than 21.8 million hectares.
