The amount of grain and legumes in the grain stores of Kostanay increased compared with last year
As of December 1, the amount of grain stored in Kostanay reached 4.45 million tons in grain stores, which is 6.7% more than the previous year.
Namely, at the beginning of the month in the grain stores of Kostanay the amount of wheat reached the level of 3.89 million tons, the amount of barley is almost 400 thousand tons, the amount of oats is 71 thousand tons and buckwheat – 8 thousand tons, and there are almost 12 thousand tons of other crops.
According to statistical data, the total amount of food grain crops stored in Kostanay at the beginning of the month amounted to 3.46 million tons, which exceeeds the same figure of the previous year by 9%.
The amount of crops for food was as follows: wheat – 3.28 million tons, barley – 115.6 thousand tons, oats – almost 16 thousand tons, and the amount of other crops was 6.5 thousand tons.
It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that the whole region managed to get 5.225 million tons of grain, while the average yield was 12.5 centners per hectare.
