Kazakhstan’s Grain Exports Increase by 12.5%: Quality Control Becomes Even More Important
According to industry reports, Kazakhstan exported 13.5 million tonnes of grain and flour (grain equivalent) between September 2025 and July 17, 2026. This represents a 12.5% increase compared to the same period of the previous marketing season.
The main export destinations remain Central Asian countries and Afghanistan. Uzbekistan continues to be the largest importer, with shipments increasing by 37% to 5.6 million tonnes. Exports also showed significant growth to Afghanistan (+59%, reaching 2.2 million tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (1.4 times higher, reaching 504 thousand tonnes), and Turkmenistan (+34%, reaching 210 thousand tonnes).
The increase in export volumes reflects strong international demand for Kazakh grain. At the same time, it highlights the growing importance of fast and reliable quality control throughout the supply chain—from grain receiving and storage to transportation and export.
To quickly determine key grain quality parameters without sample grinding, modern Near-Infrared (NIR) grain analyzers are increasingly being used. One such solution is the IAS-5100 NIR Grain Analyzer, which provides rapid measurements of moisture, protein, oil content, gluten, starch, and other quality parameters directly in laboratories, grain elevators, or even in the field.
