Kazakhstan set a record for flax export in current MY
According to the received information, flax export from Kazakhstan in the current MY reached 0.49 million tons, which was a new record and which is 32% higher than last year. Over the past marketing year, 0.37 million tons of this product were delivered abroad.
The growth in exports of this crop abroad is due to several reasons. Firstly, last year the production volumes of these products increase by 33%. And the second reason is the constant high market demand for this crop.
The top three flax importers from Kazakhstan include Belgium (with an import share of 49%), Poland (with an import share of 17%) and Afghanistan (with an import share of 11%).
If we talk about the top five importers, then Mongolia is in the fourth place and Germany is in the fifth place, with an import share of 5%.
