In March, 504 thousand tons were exported, which is 9% lower than in February. However, this figure exceeds the March figure of the previous year by 68%.

The largest amount of wheat is exported to such a country as Uzbekistan, and to date, exports to this country is amounted to 43%. In addition, a list of countries importing wheat from Kazakhstan also includes Tajikistan, China, etc. The EU imports 8%, and Turkey imports 7%.

It should be recalled that since the area allocated for wheat sowing was reduced by 4.6% this year, the wheat crop could drop by 800 thousand tons and will amount to 14 million tons.

Kazakhstan has set a new record for wheat exports in the past seven years, exporting over 9 million tons of grain to other countries. The main consumers of Kazakh wheat are Russia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and China. Experts attribute this success to favorable weather conditions and an increase in the area under wheat cultivation. In addition, the Kazakh government continues to support the development of the agricultural sector, which also contributes to the increase in grain exports. However, it is necessary to take into account that global wheat prices can vary significantly, which may affect Kazakhstan’s export performance. Nevertheless, successes in this area are an important factor for the country’s economy and its role in the global grain market.
