The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on this Thursday was marked by the adoption of a resolution to reduce port fees by 20%.

Such data was provided by Interfax-Ukraine.

In accordance with the text of the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Infrastructure to reduce rates and adopted a coefficient regarding these fees at the level of 0.8 (there are ship, sanitary, administrative and other fees).
The document says that the adopted resolution will come in force from the beginning of 2018.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure, such a decision will contribute to increasing the competition between Ukrainian ports located on the Black Sea coasts.

“We believe that such a decision will affect the ports condition as a single package, namely reducing transport costs, positively affecting the cargo volumes, increasing the competitiveness, and, as a result, this decision will become Ukraine’s ticket to the international transport corridors, and will allow a kind of new “Silk Road”, – said the Minister of Infrastructure.
