Export of barley from Ukraine
The export of barley from Ukraine remains one of the important areas of the country’s agricultural industry. In the current marketing year, shipments of barley to China have exceeded expectations, which indicates the potential for growth in exports to this country. The total volume of barley exports during the period from January to October 2021 amounted to more than 4 million tons, which is 5% more than last year.
This indicates that Ukrainian agricultural producers have good prospects in the international market. In particular, due to favorable conditions for growing barley, Ukraine becomes a leader in the supply of barley to the countries of the European Union.
China is one of the key buyers of barley from Ukraine. Between January and October 2021, barley shipments to China amounted to more than 1 million tons, up 22% from last year. This indicates a growing demand for Ukrainian barley in China.
In general, the export of barley from Ukraine is an important and promising direction in the development of the country’s agriculture. Ukrainian producers continue to increase barley production and improve product quality, which allows them to expand their export potential.
