From January to February 2019, agricultural products worth $3.5 billion were exported from Ukraine, which is 24.5% higher than the previous year’s figures. This information was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The share of agricultural products in the total export volume was 44%. The main export commodity during this period was corn (33.6% of the total export volume), followed by vegetable oils (20.1% of the total export volume), and wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye (11.8% of the total export volume) in third place.

The main importing countries during this period were Asian countries (India, China), followed by EU countries (Netherlands, Spain, etc.), and the top three leading importing countries were African countries (Egypt). The export volume to these countries amounted to $1.38 billion, $1.25 billion, and $559 million, respectively.
