From the beginning of the current MY and as of the end of May, 46.1 million tons of grain crops were supplied to Ukraine from foreign markets.

This information was provided by Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

In the last MY as of the same period, 39.4 million tons of grain were shipped abroad, which is lower than the current year’s results by 9.75 million tons, or 17%.

Exports of such crops as corn and wheat reached 26.9 million tons and 14.9 million tons, respectively. At the same time, during this period, there was an increase in the supply of corn by 11 million tons, while the volumes of supply of wheat decreased by 1.15 million tons.

In addition, during this period, 3.5 million tons of barley were shipped abroad (shipments decrease by 690 thousand tons), and 88.2 thousand tons of rye (there was an increase in supplies by 53 thousand tons).

The increase in grain exports is attributed to favorable weather conditions and an increase in demand from international markets. Ukraine’s government has also implemented policies to support and encourage agricultural production and exports. This growth in the agricultural sector is an important factor in the country’s overall economic development.
