During the period from January to February, 1.9 million tons of wheat were exported from Ukraine. The cost of export supplies amounted to 323.47 million dollars.
Such information was provided by the State Fiscal Service.
The largest amount of wheat was imported by such countries as Spain (76.7 million dollars), Morocco (29.3 million dollars) and the Philippines (22.95 million dollars). The volume of export supplies to these regions amounted to 453.86 thousand tons, 173.85 thousand tons and 135.79 thousand tons respectively.
It should be recalled that over the previous week 788 thousand tons of grain crops were exported from the sea ports of Ukraine.
Ukraine continues to steadily increase its wheat exports. This year, exports have reached the 2 million ton mark, which is 20% more than last year. This is one of the highest figures in recent years and speaks to the steady increase in wheat production in Ukraine. The main consumers of Ukrainian wheat are countries in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The increase in export volumes is due to the growing demand for Ukrainian wheat on the global market and the high quality of the product. Wheat exports are an important source of income for the Ukrainian economy and contribute to the country’s development.
