Export of grain from Ukraine became active
According to the State Customs Service, during the period from 01.07.2020 to 25.02.2021, Ukraine exported more than 31.5 million tons of cereals and legumes. This value at the end of February 2020 was 7.8 million tons more. Although on February 22, 2021, the difference was 8.5 million tons.
Considering exports volume of each separate crop of the 20/21 season compared to the previous MY:
The export of wheat reached 13.6 million tons (by 2.7 million tons less than during the previous MY).
The export of barley reached almost 4 million tons (30 thousand tons less).
The export of corn reached 13.6 million tons (5 million tons less).
The gross export of flour reached 92 thousand tons (158 thousand tons less).
The export of wheat flour reached 910.4 thousand tons (157.2 thousand tons less).
When grain exports intensify, the role of product quality analysis becomes pivotal. Ensuring exported goods meet stringent quality standards benefits producers, exporters, and the nation as a whole.
Countries importing grain often have strict requirements regarding moisture content, foreign matter, presence of toxins (such as aflatoxins), and chemical residues. Without proper quality analysis, shipments risk rejection or delays at borders, leading to financial losses.
