The export of rye from Ukraine has grown significantly
According to statistical data, during the 12 months of 2017, 25 thousand tons of rye were supplied from Ukraine to foreign markets, which is 4 times more than the figure of 2016. However, it should be mentioned that Ukraine began to supply rye monthly only in March last year.

The main consumers of rye from Ukraine are the countries of the European Union, namely Poland (32% of total exports to this country) and Spain (18% of total exports to this country). Also, a large amount of rye was imported by such countries as Bangladesh (17% of total exports) and Indonesia (15% of total exports).
Also, during the reporting period, Ukraine exported 1000 tons of organic rye. The main consumers of organic rye were such countries as Switzerland (exports to this country amounted to 49% of total exports) and Austria (exports to this country amounted to 25% of total exports). It should be mentioned that these countries imported only organic rye, while Poland and Germany imported ordinary rye.
