During the 12 months of 2017, 17.31 million tons of wheat were supplied to the international market. The cost of supply was 2.76 billion dollars.

The main consumers of wheat from Ukraine during the 12 months of 2017 were Egypt (2.750.000 tons were supplied to this country and it amounted to 438.210.000 dollars), Indonesia (2.060.000 tons were supplied to this country and it amounted to 327.760.000 dollars) and Bangladesh (1.940.00 tons were supplied to this country and it amounted to 308.750.000 dollars).

It should be recalled that during the 12 months of 2017, 62.200.000 tons of grain and leguminous crops were produced, which is 5.9% less than in 2016.

Ukraine is one of the world’s leading exporters of wheat, and in 2017 it set a new record by shipping a whopping 17 million tons of this valuable grain to world markets. This result highlights the high competitiveness of Ukrainian wheat and the importance of the agricultural sector for the country.
